Mountview luxury Cat Hotel Cattery is situated in the private garden of 81 Mountview Crescent , St Lawrence Bay Essex and has been established since 2025 is owned and run by Chloe. Totally family run. We have between us 8 dogs and 3 cats. Total animal lovers. It has expanded over the year. We started with just 4 luxury rooms and now we have 10 beautiful rooms that we are very proud of. We can now accommodate 20 cats in individual or family pens.
The cattery is fully licensed and inspected by the local authority in the Maldon Council. It has been given 5 star rating.
The cattery has a heating system and in summer the front windows fully retract to let cool breeze in.
Every cattery room has its own sleeping area, warm cosy cat beds and igloos, soft touch fleece blankets for our guests’ comfort. Each room is fitted with cat trees and different cat toys to keep our guests occupied during their stay in our
Our cattery is newly built and all rooms are built to the new regulations, large enough for 3 cats and some are for 4 cats from the same household. So cats from same family can stay together and keep each other company.
In Mountview Cattery we follow your cats diet program. All our guests are offered a range of good quality diets and we cater for each cat’s individual preferences based on the booking form information. If your cat is receiving a special diet or it has special eating habits or medication details, we collect this information in the booking form and follow the same diet in our cattery.
The cattery has full central heating which is used during the cooler months. Every secure and spacious room has a sheltered sleeping area with warm fleece bedding. Top quality litter and trays are provided and cleaned regularly. As a result of the rebuild, our cats now have much larger sleeping quarters with full sized opening doors and additional exercise space with individual scratching posts. Our family pen can now accommodate up to four cats.
Our guests are offered a range of good quality diets and we try to cater for each cat’s individual preferences. If your pet is receiving a veterinary prescription diet, then you must bring this with you on the day of arrival since we may not be able to supply it. However, you are very welcome to leave some treats for your pet to have during their stay with us. We do supply dreamies daily.
We are dedicated to looking after your cat. We are all huge animal lovers and love nothing more than snuggling on the sofa with fur babies. Between us we have a degree in Animal Science, specializing in Companion Animals, a qualification in Small Animal First Aid and Certificate in Small Animal Hydrotherapy.
When booking your cat into any cattery the most important things to look for is
- Security: our cattery is fully alarmed and we live at the premises 24/7.
- Safety: your cats’ safety and security is our priority. Our cattery is designed to the latest laws and regulations. Also, all our rooms are large and airy with most of them looking to our garden where there is always birds and squirrels.
- Food – We follow your cats diet program and provide the food based on your information in the booking form.
- Hygiene – Cattery is cleaned in the morning and in the evening. Cat trays are checked hourly and cleaned.
- Well Being – We are cat lovers. We are always with them kissing them and cuddling them and keeping them company.
- Health If your cat has any special need we can take good care of her/him.
